This application uses browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) to enhance your user experience. These are not traditional cookies, but serve similar purposes.
localStorage (Persistent Storage):
We use localStorage to save your QR code generation history. This allows you to:
- View previously generated QR codes
- Reload QR codes into the export panel
- Delete individual history items or clear all history
Data stored: QR code content, generation type, export options, timestamp, and count. This data is stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers.
sessionStorage (Session Storage):
We use sessionStorage to temporarily store QR codes during your current browser session. This allows you to:
- Keep generated QR codes available during your session
- Export QR codes without regenerating them
Data stored: Current QR codes in the export panel. This data is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab or window.
No Tracking Cookies:
We do not use:
- Third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics, etc.)
- Advertising cookies
- Social media tracking cookies
- Any cookies that track you across websites
Managing Storage:
You can clear localStorage and sessionStorage at any time through your browser settings:
- Chrome/Edge: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove All
You can also use the "Delete All" function in the History page to clear your QR code generation history.
